Managing Custom Notifications
Creating a Notification
To create a notification, click the "Add New" button under Custom Notifications on the Notifications settings screen.
Then enter a title for your notification.
Next, enter a recipient for your notification. If the notification is for the user, leave this field blank.
Then, enter the from name for your notification. If left blank, this will likely be "WordPress".
Next, enter the from address for your notification. If left blank, this will be the email address set in the WordPress General settings.
Then, select a format for your notification. If you want to include text formatting and/or images, you must use the HTML format.
Next, enter a subject for your notification. Remember, you may use variables here.
Then, enter a message for your notification. Remember, you may use variables here.
Next, select the triggers for your notification. You may select multiple triggers. However, remember that some variables are only available to specific triggers.
Finally, click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
Editing a Notification
Editing a notification is the same as creating a notification with the exception of not clicking the "Add New" button. Instead, simply locate the notification you wish to edit and make your changes as needed. Simply click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page when you are finished.
Deleting a Notification
Simply find the notification you want to delete and click the "Delete" button.
